What People Are Saying
"I have a different dog."
OMG I have a different dog. She is now relaxed and can focus on me in low distraction public places. The lunging has almost stopped as well as the "aggressive" friendliness towards other dogs and people. She can be walked with a leash and collar instead of no pull harness. She now waits at doorways on and off leash and no longer pulls me over or bashes my arm against thresholds. I can now take her out in public and enjoy her instead of getting completely frustrated with her.
Everyone that knows her is amazed at the difference in just 6 weeks. Pearl has gone from a complete wild child to a well behaved, but sometimes mischievous adolescent.
This program has completely changed my relationship with Pearl. We were not connected as team. While she technically has the skills needed for performance sports, she had no idea we were working together. After this 1st CCC course, I am now Pearl's world. She realizes the benefits of working with me and the payoff in our teamwork is starting to show.
I am so happy with our increased connection! Can't wait to see what she can do after CCC 2.

I can't say enough about how awesome this class is!!! CCC takes the theories from Suzanne's Relationship Centered Training and puts them into real life class exercises using her own twist, the puzzles. It is amazing how much those simple puzzles motivate the dog to connect with their person.
Whether your issue is pulling on the leash, darting out the door, disconnecting from the handler around distractions, or any number of other difficulties, CCC uses positive methods to help your dog realize that teamwork and getting permission to do something feels better than doing "your own thing".
If you are familiar with Suzanne Clothier's "Think & Learn Zone" concept, The use of puzzles in training is an excellent way to both keep your dog in thinking mode (they must think to solve one of 4 different puzzles in order to get their treat reward) as well as a way to gauge exactly how close they are to being too "amped" to think. You can visibly see them easily open the puzzle once and then if they get too excited you can see them struggle to open that same puzzle. The dog learns to self calm so that they can get their reward from the puzzle.
I have an easily excitable 2 year old Border Collie and this program has done wonders for him.

"A fantastic class"
This is a fantastic class. I adopted a rescue dog and one month later, before he barely knew his new name and no obedience, we were in the Connection, Cooperation & Control class. We have now learned to relate to each other and communicate with words, movement, and respect. Pedro now has a sit, down, stay and we learned it together by making the right decisions before charging forward. Play and connect with your dog. it's a lot of fun!!

"We both had a blast . . ."
Enthusiastically echoing others' comments and experiences above. In the first class, my excitable youngster started learning to work the puzzles with her brain rather than by force. Throughout the later classes, we tested and practiced and refined our "real life" work enhanced by the puzzle boxes. Indeed - the best feature of the courses is that dogs learn that all the best things in life happen when they are settled and comfy in their skin. And the human learns that no matter how headstrong, distracted, over-threshold, and downright difficult her dog is - that same dog can become a willing partner who actually SEEKS to connect with the human. Best of all - we both had A BLAST getting to that Doggie Nirvana. Silver and I give this program infinite paws up!!

"Helped me see myself through my dog's eyes"
When I registered for Connection & Cooperation class I expected that my dog Juliette would learn a lot, but what I didn’t expect was how much I’d learn about myself and my relationship with her. The class really helped me see myself (and our training) through my dog’s eyes.

I feel like I learned a lot in this course. I liked having such ready access to feedback and being able to ask all my questions. Submitting videos for review was helpful. I love the puzzles and how enthusiastic my girls are about solving them. That added immensely to our daily morning fun routine.

"Less reactive . . . more connected . . ."
Jinger and I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the on line course Connection Cooperation and Control (CCC). It has made a significant difference in our relationship and Rally training. We needed to find a venue that was calming due to Jinger being fear reactive, and having no self-control. She also has a very high prey drive which led to extreme leash pulling with little to no connection so I decided to try CCC. I love the concept of relationship centered training. I wanted a deeper trusting relationship with Jinger; not a dog that was just obedient. CCC isn’t just about training your dog; CCC helped me understand Jinger in a way to not set her up to fail which increased Jinger’s trust in me and learning how to work as a team. Within just 3 days of working level 1 of CCC and implementing the principals in Rally class Jinger’s transformation was amazing. She was less reactive on leash and more connected to me due to the techniques used that help create clarity and consistency. CCC also offers techniques that help with reactivity and distractions, helping your dog learn to not anticipate and relax. With each week of working CCC I saw Jinger improve. It was obvious in her Rally class how far she had come. Little by little her leash pulling became less and her focus greater. In October 2016 Jinger received her first title in Rally level 1 and placed 2nd, 4th and 5th. This May she competed off leash for the first time in Rally level 2A. We worked as a team. Jinger was connected and focused. We qualified and received 1st place!! I believe the trust and connection we have created in our relationship is stronger due to CCC which makes our success possible in both our relationship and in Rally. Thank you Cindy and Suzanne for creating this AWESOME class!!

"It is moving to see how much progress students make . . ."
My young Sheltie and I have just completed our second Connection, Cooperation & Control class. At first I thought that it was a lot of fun to teach my dog how to open the puzzle boxes but I soon came to realize the depth of what we were learning. My dog is very reactive to almost everything, and it has been very difficult for me to deal with. I am now able to have my dog stay connected with me (i.e., make eye contact) before we encounter something that elevates her arousal level. When we do encounter a moving car or other dogs, I can continue to ask her to stay connected with me and have her stay connected instead of reacting to the car or dogs. This class has made me a much more relaxed and therefore better dog mom. It is very moving to see how much progress students make by the end of the class.

"Lifts his skills as it lifts his spirits"
I too am lucky enough to be taking this class and I heartily echo what has been said. What I'm seeing with my soft worried boy is a growth in confidence, an excitement and joy that lifts his skills as it lifts his spirits.
